Heysea may be the number one Chinese yacht brand in the 60-foot-plus sector based on total length of yachts and product delivered annually, but its background is somewhat of an enigma.

根據(jù)游艇總長度及每年的交付量,海星在60英尺以上游艇排行雖位居中國第一,但它的背景卻透著些許神秘氣息。

 

Ranked number 25 in the world on the 2015 Global Order Book, and with 100 units sold, Heysea has its sights set on global expansion.

憑借超100艘的游艇成交量以及在全球知名雜志發(fā)布的《2015全球訂單大全》中排名全球第25位,海星的目標(biāo)進(jìn)一步升級(jí)——拓展全球市場(chǎng)。

 

FangYuan is CEO of shipyard operations. Here, she tells Ocean how she came to a career in boat manufacturing and sheds light on her ambitions for the brand.

OWho are the other partners involved in the company?

海星有哪些合伙人? 

FThere are three founders in Heysea: myself; Mr Allen Leng,our Chairman; and Mr Ma Xiaodong,Vice President.  Both of them are naval architects.

海星有三位創(chuàng)始人,除我以外,還有我們的董事長冷學(xué)華先生以及副總裁馬曉東先生,他們兩位都是船舶工程專業(yè)的。

 

OWhat are your backgrounds?

您的從業(yè)背景是什么呢?

FI have qualifications in Civil Engineering and Applied Computer Science. I worked in Belgium for eight years in charge of sales,so at the beginning of establishing Heysea,I was more focused on sales and marketing. With more and more responsibilities I took on gradually,I became CEO of our company  in 2014.

我畢業(yè)于土木工程和應(yīng)用計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)專業(yè),在比利時(shí)工作過八年,主要負(fù)責(zé)銷售。因此,在海星創(chuàng)立之初,我主要負(fù)責(zé)市場(chǎng)和銷售。隨著責(zé)任越來越重大,從2014年開始正式任命為公司總裁。

 

OWhat is your experience in boating?

您在船舶方面有哪些經(jīng)歷嗎?

FMy first experience in boating started when I was in Belgium as my colleague had a sailing boat and we sailed to Holland quite a bit.

That was my first experience,since at that time there was no real yacht culture in mainland China.

第一次接觸船舶是我在比利時(shí)工作的時(shí)候,剛好一位同事有一艘帆船,我們經(jīng)常開船去荷蘭。那是我第一次與游艇親密接觸,在那個(gè)時(shí)候中國還沒有真正意義上的游艇文化。

 

ODo you have your own boat?

您有屬于自己的游艇嗎? 

FThe last yacht I had is a Zoom 76 built by us but last year. There was a customer who was eager to buy a Zoom but did not want to wait so just sold my yacht to the client. I am planning to build my next yacht at our company again.

我上一艘游艇是Zoom 76,是海星生產(chǎn)的。不過去年我們有一位客戶迫切地想要購買一艘Zoom系列的游艇,但又不愿意等,于是我就轉(zhuǎn)售給他了?,F(xiàn)在計(jì)劃在公司重新再建造一艘我自己的游艇。

O:Where do you enjoy travelling by boat?

您喜歡駕駛游艇去哪兒旅游呢?

F:In the Mediterranean,such as the South of France,Italy,Sicily,Malta.

(我)傾向于地中海地區(qū)如法國南部、意大利、西西里、馬耳它等。

 

O:What niche do you see Heysea filling?

海星的市場(chǎng)定位是什么?

F:When Heysea was founded in 2007,there was no famous brand for yachts in China. Some shipyards mainly built commercial yachts but only few yachts and some of them for OEM projects more.

2007年,海星剛創(chuàng)立,那時(shí)候中國還沒有著名的游艇品牌。一部分船廠主要生產(chǎn)商務(wù)艇,較少生產(chǎn)以游艇,而另外一部分船廠主要以貼牌生產(chǎn)為主。

 

My two partners are naval architects and they have the ability and interest in developing the yachting market over 60 feet.That is the reason we choose the marine industry and are determined to build yachts for mid to large size only. In 2007,yachting was still a new concept for people in China and has yet to evolve into the family pursuit like it is in the Western market. Most yachts are used for commercial purpose like company entertainment,tourism or charter.

我們公司另外兩位合伙人都是船舶工程專業(yè)畢業(yè),他們有興趣,也有能力開拓60英尺以上的游艇市場(chǎng),這就是我們選擇游艇行業(yè),并且專注生產(chǎn)中大型游艇的初衷。在2007年,游艇對(duì)于中國人來說還是一個(gè)很新的概念,沒有像西方市場(chǎng)那樣走進(jìn)家庭,絕大部分還是以商務(wù)用途為主,像公司招待、旅游,租賃等。

 

The first Heysea motor yacht was 75 feet,built in 2008,then 60 feet and 82 feet followed.Our 108-feet model was brought to the public in 2011 and now we are building at 115 feet and 135 feet.

海星(生產(chǎn))的第一艘動(dòng)力艇是75英尺,于2008年完工,緊接著60英尺和82英尺誕生。2011年,海星108英尺公開亮相,而如今,我們正在著手生產(chǎn)115英尺和135英尺。

O:How many people work at your facility?

F:Around 350 people.

O:Where are the main markets for your boats?

F:At present,80 percent in China and 20 percent overseas. But in the future,we hope it could become 50:50.

O:How do you see Australia's potentialas as a market for Heysea?

您如何看待澳大利亞的市場(chǎng)潛力?

F:Ensign Ship Brokers is our dealer in Australia and NewZealand. Our range is a perfect fit for the Australian market. The local dealers and the customers have a lot of input into our design and incluions.

O:Are there any challenges in competing on the world stage in such a competitive industry?

游艇行業(yè)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)激烈,在這樣一個(gè)世界大舞臺(tái)上,是否覺得充滿挑戰(zhàn)?

F:Although Heysea is the number one shipyard in China , we are still not famous enough around the world. At the same time,many people have a misconception of 'made in China' products,so we need prove ourselves with our qualifications and strength of product.

盡管海星在中國游艇行業(yè)排名第一,但在全球來說知名度還不夠。再加上,很多人對(duì)“中國制造”都存在誤解,所以我們要用我們的實(shí)力和產(chǎn)品質(zhì)量來證明自己。

 

O:What is the ambition of Heysea in the next 5 to 10years?

海星在未來5到10年的目標(biāo)是什么?

F:1.We hope to have 50 percent of orders in China and 50 percent from overseas within three to five years.

首先,我們希望能在未來3到5年內(nèi),國內(nèi)外的訂單量各占50%。

 

2.The area of our current factory is 66,700 square metres but to accommodate increasing orders,we are considering buying a new plant and building another factory.

其次,目前我們廠房占地面積為66700平方米,但隨著訂單的增加,我們?cè)诳紤]建造新的廠房。

 

3.To be in the top 10 yacht builders in the word in the40-to-60-metre sector within 10 years.

最后,在未來10年內(nèi),海星要在40—60米游艇行列成功進(jìn)駐全球前10。
